Furoshiki Style…

When Christmas approaches we all buy endless amounts of wrapping paper. Now i have found a more practical & eco friendly way to impress!

It’s known as Furoshiki, it is a long almost lost tradition from Japan where you wrap your presents up in material. Yep thats right. Meaning that there is no waste, plus the material used can serve for another purpose. Happy Days!

This has really inspired me this year! There are so many folding techniques that you can use to personalise your wrapping!

There are loads of types of matrial you can use: I use silk scarves as they are really pretty yet inexpensive. You can find loads in charity shops with all sorts of retro designs. So you don’t have to put yourself out of pocket haha.

So heres a great folding guide:

The Japanese really have made a beautiful art form out of this. It’s a great way to show a person you love that you do really care!

Ive already got my scarves at the ready, so ill be back soon with some of my Furoshiki.

Hope this inspires you this Christmas, just as much as it has with me.

See ya!
