D.I.Y twine heart garland.

& were back with a late night D.I.Y for yours truly.

Tired of mass produced products? Fancy a more personal approach to decorating.

Then this is for you…The beauty of it is, it couldn’t get more simpler then this.

So heres mine:

What you need:

  • Twine or ribbon.
  • Felt.
  • Thick thread.
  • Polyester filling. (Cotton buds work a treat too, or any scrap material.)
    Three easy steps:
    1. Cut out the two identical heart’s & a small strip, out of the felt. (Or your fabric of choice.)
    2. Start sewing together the hearts with the thread doing a cross stich. Whilst sewing make a loop out of the small strip of felt & attach it to the top of the heart. Stuff with polyester filling, then sew the remaining gap together.
    3. Thread heart down onto the twine and tie a single knot to keep it in place. Repeat these steps as many times as you like to create a full length heart garland. Enjoy!
